| Hi Chris, Thanks so much for getting back to me. Thank you also again for your helpful information, for the case, and... well, everything! I took the violin in to a luthier today and he was very impressed. I haven't had a chance to leave feedback yet (I haven't had much time on ebay), but when I get around to it, I will certainly be leaving glowing feedback. I was a little apprehensive about buying online, but I'm glad that my research pointed me in your direction. I'm sure we might be buying future violins from you, when the time is right. Best regards, Laura |

| I am a semiprofessional violist. I do a few play for pay jobs throughout the year with a couple of orchestras here in the northeast Arkansas area. I want to preface this message with the information that I purchased a very fine George Rums viola some 35 years ago I remember I had a hard time scraping up the money as a financially struggling university student. That viola, worth a couple of thousand dollars in 1969, has served me wonderfully over all the years. Last year I decided I should have a second viola, as a back up. This would not be a fine instrument, but a modestly priced one just in case an occasion should arise that I was having work done on my Rums. I wanted something that I could get by with. Your Gems 1 line looked as though it would serve my purpose well, so I purchased one of the 16.5 violas. Over the past year, I have put in quite a few practice hours on the Gems 1 viola, trying out different sets of strings on it to help it find its voice. Right now its strung with Pirastro Obligatos. I want you to know that your $478 Gems 1 viola has *replaced* my considerably more expensive George Rums instrument (which is an excellent one) as my first viola. I played a highly challenging and technically demanding concert just this afternoon with a semiprofessional concert orchestra works by Mozart, Rossini, Lalo, and Elgar and I chose to use my Gems 1 instead of my Rums. It delivers such a warm yet carrying sound, and is incredibly responsive throughout its range of dynamics and positions. I have no reservations at all about using it in a viola section with professional players with highly expensive instruments surrounding me. Today I received compliments on my contribution to the section after the performance was finished. I know you sell your Gliga and Gama lines of instruments for advanced to professional players. I havent played either of those lines, so I can only imagine how they must compare to my lesser priced Gems 1 instrument. I just wanted to tell you that I have been pleasantly amazed over the past year at what one of your economy instruments is capable of delivering obviously it yields performance standards that meet or exceed those of more highly priced instruments by other makers. If my Gems 1 viola is typical of all your instruments in that line, then the Gems 1 instruments are most assuredly capable of taking their places respectably even in professional groups. | To Gliga Violins USA, After receiving a great violin from you for our daughter, I just placed my order for a 4/4 Genial outfit for myself! (My wife wants a cello, but we'll have to wait for that.) My wife discovered your site on-line and we were surprised how affordable your student violins are. Many advised us not to order violins on-line but we took the chance and ordered a 1/4 outfit from you for our daughter. Amazingly we practically received it the next day! The tracking site didn't keep up with the actual speedy delivery, it couldn't. We brought the new instrument to the instructor and she was thoroughly impressed. She is the classic stern traditional style instructor during lessons (fun during breaks!) and she actually had a smile on her face when observing the violin. She said it was a quality violin and "stylish". Before they began she said new violins generally need to be tuned again after the lesson, she was surprised how well it held its tune at the end. We are thankful that you can provide quality instruments at an affordable price for new students. It's nice to know parents like us don't always have to be "rich or infamous" to provide a fantastic violin for lessons for our children. Darren Chan |

| Hello, Thanks for your help in purchasing the Gems1 Antique Violin. It is truly a beautiful violin and the sound matchs its looks. Other students raved about the beauty as my daughter took it out of the case for the first time. She also commented that most of the other instruments had painted lines for purfling instead of inlaid like the Gems1. Another feature we liked about Violinslover.com, you see pictures of the instrument you are buying. I requested pictures from another site of the actual instrument I would receive and was told it would take too much time to photograph each and every instrument he sold. He said it was similar to the one shown on the web site. The last thing I must say to beginning students, "DON'T RENT!" Purchase a Gliga student instrument. The rental agreement at the local music store is not written for your benefit.. It's a no-win contract for you. Laura and Mitch Tripp |

And I am just as pleased to let you know about my impression of these two violins. Personally, I think they are very nice looking and sounding instruments made of quality material for very reasonable prices. And I particularly love the Antiqued 1/4 Professional GAMA violin, other than the very nice craftsmanship, I think it has a very good volume and potential for a violin such size. I think I will definitely do business with you again. That's why I left TWO POSITIVE FEEDBACKs on eBay just now. Many thanks from the other side of the earth. best regards James Wang |

| Thank you for the instrument. I am very impressed with the instrument. It has the looks of a profession viola, which is a great motivation for me to practice. Even though the sound is deserving of its price, it does have a mellow, warm tone to it. I am a music teacher whose main instrument is the cello, I needed a viola to practice my upper string techniques, and I am very please with this model, especially with the money I paid for! Mark |

| The new violin arrived today, it's lovely and has a nice sound too. Thanks so much for upgrading the size for us, I know my daughter will really enjoy playing this instrument when she graduates to it. If you have the time in the future, could you tell me what are the main differences between all the different levels of violins that you sell? They all seems to be made of the same basic materials but I know there is more than just materials in a violin. I am considering buying one for myself in the future, so I can learn also. Thanks! | I wanted to write to personally let you know how happy I am with the violin I purchased. I was looking for a decent 'mid-level' violin and expected to pay $1000-$1500. When I came across your website, I decided to take a chance and purchase the instrument... What I received was a very beautiful instrument, with a great sound that I'm sure will get even better over time... for much less money than I had planned to spend. I took the violin into the shop of a luthier here in Boston, someone who has NEVER approved of anything I've purchased (and there have been some expensive violins...). He instantly recognized it as a Gliga, set the soundpost, and played it for the next 20 minutes. When he asked me what I paid for it, he just smiled and shook his head and gave me a big 'thumbs up.' It's good to know that there is quality workmanship that comes from people who care about their customers. When my daughter moves to her next violin (in about six months), you can bet I'll be back. Thank you, -brian |

| I did get the violins; they came while I was at Scout camp. These are also very nice violins, I'm sure when I take them to the folks actually buying them, that they will be as pleased as before. I am also going to show them to our violin teacher today. She is going to be getting her own son a 1/10 size in the next year, depending on how fast he grows, and I think she'll like these better than the standard Suzuki she's been using with most students. Maybe we'll be buying another. I've been pleased doing business with you. If you ever have a need to give a reference for another customer, I would be glad to let them know not only the quality of your instruments, but also the terrific and pleasant service. | The violin arrived here today. I will be leaving feedback on Ebay, but I want to give you a 'first impression'. As soon as I lifted the bubble wrapped violin from the box, I knew that I would simply love this instrument. The weight is really very wonderful. Your photography is quite good on your website, but nothing compared to the real thing. This instrument, what can I say, is simply beautiful. The detailing is indescribable. The sound? Even though I have only been able to spend about 1 hour so far with this instrument, I can tell you that it is a 'diamond in the rough'. Delicate and dark is such a perfect description. I can't wait until I have fully awakened this instrument because I believe that her voice is very beautiful indeed. I am not an expert with violins, but I know what I like. I took this violin, immediately to my friend who is quite a good musician. He played a few tunes and was thoroughly delighted. He looked very closely at everything and, like me, was very happy with everything that he saw. Certainly he agrees with me that this violin will make many public appearances. You have made a friend, a fan, and a loyal customer in Nebraska. I am delighted to send people to your commercial website in search of violins that I am confident they will adore. With very warm regards, Russell D. Houlden |

Just for a frame of reference, I am a flutist, but I currently play viola in a community orchestra ... When I first heard about the student Gems, I was very interested in them because I also teach music in the Fontana Unified School District. I am always on the lookout for better instruments that my students can afford. Like all of the Gligas that I have seen, this viola is made well for the price. I like the sound. It's warm and sweet sounding. I would be very pleased if my students came in with instruments like this. Thanks. Carlton |
