Testimonial Letter for Gliga Violins Vasile Gliga, Master Luthier of Gliga Violins I received my wonderfully master crafted Gliga all walnut 4/4 violin with ash accent pieces (chinrest, tailpiece, and pegs) last week and discover that I look forward to my daily practice sessions with great enthusiasm. The masterfully tuned resonance of the bridge and spruce top to the internal soundboard and post, eventually radiating throughout the densely aged walnut body results in a blend of timbres which is truly profound! I had purchased a Gliga Bird's Eye Maple Violin (back and sides) several months prior, and I believed that the density of the wood would provide the greatest resonance possible - but I was unprepared for an entire walnut violin. My professor of violin, a child prodigy at the age of three in the Suzuki Violin School of Music, has studied and performed internationally most of her life. She has studied and performed in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Africa, and believes her violin to be one of the finest designed aside from those of the great Italian Masters. Once she had placed my new Gliga walnut violin to her shoulder, she played for ten or more minutes prior to laying it down gently and admitting that my new Gliga violin exceeded hers in tone, resonance, playability, touch, and "forgiveness" of feel. She owns a priceless French made mid-1780's violin, and considers it a product of the true old masters. I am highly impressed by your assistance and customer support, as you have provided me with complete step by step aid that any customer may require. This is my second Gliga violin purchased in excess of $2,200.00 and find that they are not only extraordinary musical instruments, but also sound financial investments. Thank you Vasile Gliga for your amazing talent, craftsmanship, and dedication to your art as a Master Luthier.

We received the Gliga Gem 1 Birdseye/Resonance Spruce 2 hours ago when our 16 yr old daughter was at home from High School for a while, and I must say that this violin was instantly adopted! She even said: "you know, my friend xxxx from Camerata just spent $8000 on a violin that doesn't even come near this precious, beautiful sounding instrument"... I guess this is a great compliment for you guys and Master Vasile! So, definitely a "Keeper". Thank you for all your good work. We will certainly recommend Gliga quality & service to all our music entourage. thank you. Jean-Louis Gillet

Dear Employees and Gliga violin makers, My name is Peter. I'm 13 and I have been a violinist for about 6 years and want to say thank you for making my Maestro B7811 violin. Last year, my family and I bought it for my promotion to 7th grade. I have gotten comments on this instrument by my private teacher, orchestra teacher, friends, and coaches. They like the sound quality, bow, and the way it was crafted by Gliga makers. You had made one of the best Gliga Maestros ever. I also thank you for my Gem III violin, because that is also a good student instrument for its price range. Thanks again -Peter

Just a thank you for my very nice Maestro Gliga. Indeed it has good tone and a mellow sound for a a moderately priced instrument. I have been playing it non stop for a week now and it feels good in my hands and notes ring true in all positions. Karen

I just wanted to let you know that I am very happy with my new GAMA advanced/professional viola. I play casually in local orchestras, and as I have gotten older my larger viola has wreaked havoc on my back and fingers. Reluctantly, I decided to downsize to a 15 inch viola, which I selected on your site. For a change, I went with the birdseye maple antiqued finish. I was happy to see that there was a seven day return policy, but I won't be returning this instrument! The viola is just beautiful, and am so surprised at how much easier it is for me to handle, without sacrificing too much of the deep viola tone. I also hesitantly opted for the professional composite bow, having played all my life with pernambuco. Again, I am surprised! The bow is light and very reactive, and I think I actually prefer it to my wood one. So, I just want to thank you for the nice instrument and let you know that I am glad to be playing pain-free.

Hello Chris, I don't know if you remember me? It's Eric from Argentina.... I purchased a Gliga Genial-1 Violin from you back in late May June. Well I've finally been able to get my hands on this Violin since my mother traveled down to Argentina from the US to visit and brought my new Gliga with her. I can say I'm quite astounded at such quality given the very affordable price of this Violin....I don't know how you guys do it, but I'm impressed. I could tell instantly that it's a very high quality instrument considering the price I paid....remarkable. You market the Spruce and Maple of these violins from the Balkan area of the European Carpathians, and the quality shows....this is some nice tonewood! It took "very" little to virtually "no" set up to get this Violin going, which also surprised me. The nut was already filed nice and low and the string spacing was perfect. The only thing I did was add a little Hill Peg compound to the pegs as they were a bit tight and then flatten the radius of the bridge and lower it a bit ( I'm a folk/Bluegrass Fiddler ) Other than that....it was ready to go. The playability is fantastic and it's pretty even across the strings as well, it has good volume and will only even improve more as I play it and break it in. The wood selection is absolutely beautiful and the craftsmenship is great, I love the antiquing! Overall I'm tremendously pleased and if I ever have to upgrade from this one I'll most likely consider a Gliga purchase as I know exactly what kind of quality instrument I can expect. Gliga came to me highly recommended by quite a few violinists/fiddlers so you guys have a strong reputation to maintain. Keep up the good work building excellent affordable Violins, you've won me over as a dedicated new customer! Pictures attached!

Dear Mr. Gliga, I have been playing your 17.5" viola for several years...and I love it...thank -you. This new purchase is to be my back-up if needed. I play your viola in 3 symphony orchestras plus a quartet plus occasional pit orchestras. Everyone likes the warm sound of your viola, and I recommend your instruments to all. I thank you for carrying on the traditional values of Lionel Tertis and William Primrose. So, thank you again. With my good wishes...mel goldfinger, dayton, ohio, USA.

I received the instrument (Order 152952) a couple of days ago and I love it! It was so well packed and the instrument looks and sounds like a much more expensive one! I will definitely recommend your instruments. Thank you so much! Sincerely, Renato V.

Dear Chris, Hi. It's been a while since I bought a violin for my son last year when he was 15 months old. He's 23 months old and will be 2 years old next month. He really loves it and practice three times everyday. He's very proud of having his own violin and holding it under his little chin. Actually he cannot play the violin yet but learned a lot from his older mates. And he seems very happy when he could make a beautiful sound with the violin by himself. Please look at the photo. He concentrated to make a beautiful sound with the bow. Thank you for a wonderful small violin for my son. I love this violin too. Regards, Tomoko Higashimori Son: Ariya Higashimori

I received my Gliga Gamma professional violin yesterday . It was shipped as promised and in perfect condition. I was very very pleased with the quality and the sound of the instrument. The finish was beautiful. It just needed tuning and it was ready to play. The sound was very rich and wonderful. Much better than my old violin that I had been playing for over 10 years. I don't think there is a better violin for the money than a Gliga. Plus the fact that they are made in Romania and not china. I will be ordering a more advanced model later on. I am 100% pleased with this purchase. I play Fiddle music on this instrument. Thank you. Sincerely, Jeff Hudson. Fort Myers, Florida.
